MASTER'S ADMISSIONS

Students are admitted to the programs each year with the following application deadlines:

  • Fall Semester - July 1
  • Spring Semester - October 1
  • Summer Semester - April 1

Please Note: Late applications will be considered as space permits. Contact msumaet@msu.edu for more information.

University Application and Fee
To expedite the admissions process and to get an application folder started you can fill out the University Application and pay the $50 fee online by visiting: http://grad.msu.edu/apply/online.aspx.

Our program code for the Hybrid program is 2299 and for the Online program is 6731.

Three Letters of Recommendation
Letters of recommendation should come from mentors, colleagues, administrators or supervisors who can also tell us about your academic performance, work ethic, and professional character. Letters of recommendation can be emailed to msumaet@msu.edu, or sent via snail mail to:

One Set of Transcripts
You will need to send one set of OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS showing your undergraduate degree to:

These transcripts need to be requested from your degree granting undergraduate institution and sent directly to the above address.  MSU will not accept transcripts marked ‘Issued to Student’.

Students who completed their undergraduate degree at Michigan State University do not need to submit official transcripts.

Please Note: If you have previously been enrolled in any Masters program at Michigan State University, you will need to fill out a Readmission Application instead of the Graduate School Application, as well as a Change of Program Status form.  The Readmission Application is submitted online, and the Change of Program Status form should be submitted with your other application materials.
